- New Delhi, Apr 26, Rajasthan Governor Prabha Rau died at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences here today following a massive heart attack at the age of 75.
- Rau was found unconscious in the bathroom of Jodhpur House here this morning and was rushed to AIIMS where she breathed her last.
- A former Congress General Secretary, Rau was the fourth Rajasthan Governor to die in harness after Darbara Singh, Nirmal Kumar Jain and S K Singh.
A known Nehru-Gandhi family loyalist, she took over as Rajasthan Governor in January this year. Earlier, she held the the gubernatorial post in Himachal Pradesh.- Rau, a former member of the CWC, will be cremated at her native Kolhapur village in Maharashtra's Wardha district today with full state honours.
