Veteran actor Dharmendra was overwhelmed when he met his “Sholay” co-stars Viju Khote and Asrani after 35 years on music reality show “Chhote Ustaad”.
Filmmaker Ramesh Sippy also accompanied the trio at the show that comes on Star Plus.
The 74-year-old got nostalgic as the contestants performed to the hit songs “Mehbooba O Mehbooba”, “Jab tak hai jaan”, “Yeh dosti” and “Koi haseena jab” from the film and said it reminded him of the places and time spent shooting the film.
He couldn’t contain his excitement when contestants Satinder and Shahid performed to “Main jat yamla pagla deewana” from his 1975 film “Pratigya”. He even got on to the stage and did some of his trade mark moves.

r if you climb up the hill. Will not take more than 30 minutes to climb the hill. WOW! Beautiful place. Will look better if you have lived in the Nawabi city of Lucknow for one year. Then, from the temple, I went to Government College. Nice place. I wanted to refer some books, but, little did I think that the Libraries are not open on Sundays. (IIML is a different story).
Then, didnt know what to do in life. Went to a cinema
(A dubbed version of some stupid Jet Li's movie). Atleast, that was better than a Chimbu's film. Then, off to some delicious Chettinad dishes. Aapam and Thengaai paal are becoming my favorite dishes here. (Is Krishna and Vijay reading this?) Ok... coming back to the topic of this post... Kovai kusumbu. For non-Tam people, Kusumbu means Nakkal... err... Nakkal means Kalaaikals... Well... Some Tam words have no equivalent peers in English.

On August 23, students from 60 schools will be listening to lecture by Bill Barton from University of Auckland and Gunter Ziegler from the Berlin Maths School. On August 24, Viswanathan Anand will play a game of chess with 40 mathematicians. Though the event is not open to public, it will underline the origin of chess in India.
